Can anyone help me identify this Scandalli Accordion 381 / 2? Hey All - I have found this great vintage and antique accordion Scandalli a recent sale of goods but have not been able to ind too much about it. Any ideas? Http: / / s236.photobucket.com/albums/ff51 / ...
Wow ..... hard I believe that such a question would pop up. I play an old Gibson Les Paul '63. We cling to old things. My father had Scandelli accordion F. bought in the 40s or 50 and paid $ 700 then ...! It was an import from Italy and the keyboard was made of ivory and very easy to play and quick response as well. This is the crop insurance. I had 5 buttons on the right for the sound changes and 2 to the left of the bass part. Red velvet was quite heavy, and the case inside. I can not see your photo .... I get an error. Post leftiegibson@hotmail.com or send me a photo .... We will gladly help. In short, it was Heavy accordion.
Accordion Information needed!?
It's a piano accordion Scandalli supposedly dates back to the 1960 / 70 and has "Done 661/196 in Italy "on the back. If someone could tell me a little about this instrument, ie the model, the quality and possibly its recommendation if adapted to a beginner? Google has failed me last time .. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f182/haha_lucy/3e4e_1.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f182/haha_lucy/3dbb_1.jpg (If the images do not work tell me)
Accordions Scandalli at that time were of very good quality. This is probably the intermediate model and, judging by the color and design. Image 120 appears to be low, musette tuned accordion. I can not tell if the image is a full-size accordion. If the length of the measures on the keyboard 19 "in size, then it is complete, if about 17" is considered "ladies" in size. This is only important to adapt the size of your hand. This instrument would certainly be appropriate for a beginner. While the accordion is capable of playing well, a few of tune notes or small air leak could be easily fixed. I recommend a beginner buy a used accordion Italian made this period of time, instead of a new import could be achieved cheaply. You'll find the quality of work much greater in these. The keyboard action is much better also. They are easily repairable, but once everything works and sounds good, almost never break. FYI - Scandalli professional accordions made in the 1960s are still sold at $ 1000 onwards.
