Should a beginner start with an acoustic-electric guitar?
Hello everyone! Can anyone tell me if it's a good idea to start out in an acoustic-electric guitar? never played guitar, but I've played sax for 2 years - im musical in that sense. I have no problems with my hurt the fingers of steel cords, etc. Also, if someone could tell your preffered brand Yamaha or Ibanez? Thanks for any help you could give me!
I am very tired so I'll keep this short. 1) I would prefer from the acoustic, more convenient to carry, dont need amplifiers, lighter, etc. etc. strings are harder to worry too much, so if the electricity will seem p * ss easy to fret / double strings, etc. 2) what classes are Otherwise, your only going to be one of the millions of children who have * s that the technology and think they can play guitar cos may strike some chords of the intro and the game stairway to heaven. (you can learn for yourself, but most fail miserably when they themselves do) 3) the (insert) for Dummies, books are great and definitely worth buying 4) What type of guitar?: a preference on what's really the sound you want, etc, I prefer Yamaha, but Ibanez is so good. As for the more expensive guitars, unfortunately does not have that amount of money and can not answer that. Acoustic Electric?!?
What exactly is an acoustic guitar, and how better than just an acoustic guitar?
Acoustic guitar is a lot like a regular acoustic guitar, the difference that has the hook and can be expanded, and the sound may change a little. Not very very different from your average acoustic. Whether or not worth getting a sound longer than normal depends on what purpose you are using, for. Basically I play my acoustic guitar at home, but playing at church for electric acoustic sound can be amplified. Both are great, not really a big difference. As I said, depends on what you wish for.
